POETRY: Hurricane Jessica

She entered my world a tropical wind,
exciting and fatal in equal dose,
She occasionally raged and blew off the roof,
but that was when I loved her the most.

The end of our journey became quite unsure,
Dark clouds from the east gathered above,
I screamed to the gods let rain strike me down,
but forecasts had changed she'd spent all her love.

Like change in the winds I made her feel high,
and just as she did I made her feel low,
I sit in her vortex affecting her way,
I can't do her justice and so I must go.

The weather is mine I'm not just a man,
whenever she blows remember my name,
the blame for destruction should lay at my feet,
my beautiful storm now a hurricane.
