Kitara, a japanese company have designed a guitar that replaces the fretboard with a multi-touch display (as found on the iPad)
The most interesting feature is the onboard midi synthesiser, so when you get board of the guitar effects just change the synth to another source and you'll soon be playing the drums, violin or flute.
Kitara hope owners will include studio musicians, DJs, electronic musicians, ambient musicians, traditional guitar players and aspiring musicians looking for a truly unique experience to create, explore and share.
Price: $849 with Kitara Special Edition at $2,899.
